Notes MASTER THESIS GREGORY TURKAWKA «LearnIn – a gamified digital ecosystem» is offering a solution to the human right of education. Its design empowers learners through high quality, culturally relevant learning opportunities and by connecting people and resources along with culture, needs and goals. Together with its partners and contributors, «LearnIn» is developing a set of interoperable tools to enable collective intelligence and help learners find content, peers, and mentors in specific problems and activities. «LearnIn's» digital ecosystem is powered by these interoperable tools. Through its decentralized, OpenID Connect system; LearnIn realizes single sign-on credentialing and management of data in its unique personal learning record store. Users get empowered to take back ownership and control of individual information. Secure filing, mapping and rewarding of achievements in one place are enabled. Culturally rooted achievement maps and learning opportunities, facilitate the accurate refinement of individual or external set goals and the discovery of like-minded study partners or communities. These elements build the core for a human trained artificial intelligence. «LearnIn» is based on a global open-source digital campus, designed to empower communities to learn, research, reflect on their learning path, share knowledge, promote their know-how, and collaborate on projects. Remarkable achievements, user engagement or collaboration, can get rewarded with tokens. As a solution to enable also under-banked or unbanked learners' access to paid parts of educational offerings, the LearnIn-Token will be backed-up with real value as a stable coin and can then function as an exchange voucher. ︎ CURRICULUM VITAE Gregory is an educational consultant at UNICEF, designs digital learning environments at the Zurich University of Teacher Education and represents the medieval city of Regensberg as mayor of the municipality.
