Digital Vs. Human: How we'll live, love and think in the future
ScribeApril 14, 2016
On the face of it a book about smart mobiles, social media, the internet, automation, artificial intelligence and robotics. But really it's a book about the human condition and what we want technology to do on our behalf.

Future Vision: Scenarios for the World in 2040
Scribe Publishing (Melbourne)November 5, 2012
Will relentless consumerism end up destroying our planet? Or can science and technology allow us to innovate our way out of trouble? Perhaps a greater social consciousness and community-based living will take over — or, conversely, the competition for limited resources may result in everyone fighting for themselves.

A preview of what LinkedIn members have to say about Richard:
“
I fell in love with Now & Next what seems like a lifetime ago, although it can probably be measured in years... sterling stuff... I'll miss my semi-regular Brainmail updates from Barley Mow but treasure the insights & perspectives they afforded me... Richard, you are a gentleman & a scholar. I wish you all the very best for the next...
“
Richard delivered an engaging, topical and humorous presentation to the Northern Universities Insurance Group Conference at Weetwood Hall, Leeds in June 2017. It led to a though-provoking session on what risks and issues will face Universities in five years time. Richard made himself available through the whole day and held conversations and discussions with delegates for many hours after his slot. His contribution and alternative ways of thinking about the future and the impact on us all is highly recommended.
