An investigator for the Joint Legislative Committee on Crime said that in future hearings the committee, whose chairman is Senator John H. Hughes, Republican of Syracuse, would establish clear links between Mr. Rosenstiel and underworld figures, particularly Lansky, who now is living in Israel.
Linsey, he said, has extensive business interests in Boston and has contributed considerable sums of money to Brandeis University, where a sports center is named after him.
Linsey's associates in the underworld hierarchy, Mr. Kelly said, include Raymond Petriarca, the reputed boss of the Mafia in New England, who is now serving a jail term for conspiracy to murder, and Lansky. |
