Ms. Belkis Leong-Hong, of Gaithersburg, Maryland, is President of Knowledge Advantage, Inc., an information technology consulting firm. She served with the Department of Defense (DOD) from 1981-1999, rising to be the DOD's highest-ranking Asian American woman in the civil service. From 1998-1999, she was Principal Deputy Director and Chief Information Officer of the Defense Security Service and previously served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Command Control Communications Computers and Intelligence (C3I) Plans and Resources from 1995 to 1999. She has served as President of Women in Technology and was a founder of the Asian American Government Executive Network. Ms. Leong-Hong received a B.A. degree from Hunter College and a M.P.A. degree from American University. |
