Until September 2014, Ernst was commander of 185th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion at Camp Dodge, Iowa's largest battalion. In 2003-4 during the Iraq War, she spent 12 months in Kuwait. As commander of the 1168th Transportation Company, her soldiers drove supply convoys from Kuwait into Iraq.
She was assigned over the years to units in locations across the country — including St. Louis, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Kansas and several locations in Iowa — and has held many duty assignments. |
