Notes Superintendent of Schools and Community Partnerships, Columbus State Community College Stephen D. Dackin, the Superintendent of Schools and Community Partnerships for Columbus State Community College, oversees the growing number of Columbus State partnerships and initiatives originating from The Central Ohio Compact. Prior to his community college work, he led efforts to improve student achievement throughout the preschool to college educational continuum. As former superintendent of Reynoldsburg City Schools in Ohio, Dackin has experience working with KnowledgeWorks subsidiary EDWorks on the successful implementation of an Early College High School, done in partnership with Columbus State Community College. He also oversaw work in the Reynoldsburg City School District for implementing STEM-focused schools and curriculum for grades K-12. Dackin was superintendent in Reynoldsburg City Schools from 2007-2014. Before that, he served two years as the district’s assistant superintendent and as a principal for six years at Reynoldsburg High School. He also was director of Ohio’s regional school improvement services and was executive director of secondary curriculum and instruction for Westerville City Schools. Dackin received his Master of Science in Education Administration from the University of Dayton and holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Ohio Northern University.
