The Inglis Foundation enables people with disabilities, and those who care for them, to achieve their goals and live life to the fullest. Inglis partners with the disability community to provide practical solutions that enable consumers to overcome barriers and to live life with the greatest possible independence and mobility. Today, Inglis serves over 1,000 people with assets of over $350M. Accomplishments include:
• Strategic Leadership – Led the board and executive team in developing a new vision to revitalize Inglis and a strategic plan to make this vision a reality. Key strategic accomplishments include transforming Inglis House into home like, person centered neighborhoods; expanding Inglis’ affordable accessible homes by >35%, enhancing community based services and rebuilding Inglis’ brand and fund raising capabilities.
• Operations Improvement – Dramatically improved Inglis’ leadership team and aligned organization to accelerate turnaround and improve financial sustainability. Successes include reduction in pressure ulcers from 19.3% to 8.6%; 30% improvement in satisfaction with dining experience, adult day consumer satisfaction from 81% to 100%, and reduction in first year employee turnover from 65.4% to 16.8%.
• Culture Change – Implemented successful culture change initiative to transform Inglis to a mission driven, values based and person centered community. Introduced quarterly Leadership Development Institute to embed core values, establish performance standards, develop leadership skills and create organization wide collaboration.
• Financial Improvement – Partnered with Inglis Board in raising over $80M, revising investment strategy, spending policies and capital planning processes in light of 17% reduction in Medicaid reimbursement rates and market uncertainty. Implemented financial planning processes and tools to provide strategic financial direction as well as quarterly financial management and cash flow projection processes. |
