Beginning in 2008, Alberici converted a parking garage into the state-of-the-art Simon Recreation Center and remodeled the 118-year-old DuBourg Hall. In 2011, Alberici completed the renovation of the Health Science Education Union and installed a new track and field complex built to NCAA standards.
The 56,428-square-foot Simon Recreation Center features a new fitness center, locker rooms, lobby and a point-supported glass canopy. Working on a very tight site, Alberici completed the project ahead of schedule and saved Saint Louis University 2.5 percent of the original cost of work.Adjacent to the Heath Science Education Union on the medical campus, Alberici also constructed an NCAA track and field complex.
