Back in June 2015, FGV, which is 20 per cent-owned by FELDA — announced plans to purchase 30 per cent in Eagle High for US$632 million cash and a further 7 per cent stake via an issue of 95 million new FGV shares worth US$48 million, which gave the deal a total valuation of US$680 million. This would have represented a 70% premium on the price of Eagle High shares. The deal has been rumored for a long time but never happened.
FGV paid a $147.5 million deposit on the deal that never happened. |
