Former head of mortgage-backed securities trading at Prudential Securities began his career trading Fannie and Freddie bonds for Merrill Lynch in the 1980s. Started Providence Investment Management in 2003 and has grown it to $1.4 billion in assets pursuing a strategy of buying discounted mortgage paper and trading related derivatives and bonds. University of Rhode Island accounting major runs Providence with his older brother, Richmond. 2011 net returns in excess of 20%.
