Duane Desiderio has advocated on behalf of the real estate community for more than 15 years, seeking policy solutions that balance responsible economic development, conserve environmental resources, and safeguard property rights. He is currently Vice President and Counsel with The Real Estate Roundtable, which represents the leadership of the nation’s top 100 privately owned and publicly held real estate ownership development, lending, and management firms. Mr. Desiderio is responsible for managing the organization’s federal policy outreach on energy, climate, building codes, water resources permitting, eminent domain, transportation, and other environmental and land use issues as they affect the built environment. His advocacy work involves outreach to Capitol Hill and coordination with Executive Branch agencies. Prior to joining The Real Estate Roundtable, Mr. Desiderio served at the National Association of Home Builders, where he managed the association’s litigation program.
