Tom Holland is head of Bain’s San Francisco and Palo Alto offices, and a member of Bain’s global governance committee. Tom has extensive experience in the mergers and acquisitions business, advising private equity firms and corporate clients on several hundred transactions. Over the past 22 years, Tom has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including technology, telecommunications, transportation, consumer goods, and manufacturing. He has advised clients on growth strategies, cost and asset restructuring, reengineering as well as mergers and acquisitions. In recent years, Tom has led several Bain efforts supporting clients facing major turnarounds or repositionings in turbulent industries, such as telecommunications, transportation, and aerospace. Prior to joining Bain, Tom held positions with Clorox and Bain Capital. He earned his MBA from Stanford University (with distinction), and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
