Tim Gordon was born and grew up in Albany County, NY. He is a graduate of Shaker High School in Latham, NY, and the State University of New York at Brockport, NY, including studies abroad at Brunel University, London, UK. Professionally, Mr. Gordon has worked the majority of his career in the private sector and was the founder of Albany Media Group, an advertising and public relations firm. Mr. Gordon has served his community by volunteering with a number of not for profit organizations including the North Bethlehem Fire Department where he received the department’s Heroic Achievement Award. In 2003 Mr. Gordon was elected Town Councilman in Bethlehem, NY. In 2006 Mr. Gordon was elected to the New York State Legislature where he served two terms and was a member of Assembly Standing Committees on; Ageing, Agriculture, Banking, Energy, Racing and Wagering, and Small Business. Mr. Gordon authored and sponsored significant legislation which is now law. Because of Mr. Gordon’s strong support of agriculture he is a four time recipient of the New York State Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends Award. Mr. Gordon also came in last, or next to last, in the annual legislator’s harness horserace. Tim Gordon became the Executive Director of the Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund in the spring of 2011. Married to Christine Gordon, the Gordons are the parents of four children and reside in the hamlet of North Bethlehem, NY.
