Ms. Weili Dai is the only woman co-founder of a global semiconductor company and one of the leading and most-recognized women business leaders in the world today. As co-founder of Marvell Technology Group, one of the top five fabless semiconductor companies in the world, Ms. Dai has been a cornerstone of Marvell’s success since it began in 1995. Ms. Dai has held a number of significant positions within Marvell since she co-founded the Company: she has served as Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President, and General Manager of the Communications Business Group. She has also been a Director of Marvell Technology Group Ltd. and Corporate Secretary of the Board. Prior to co-founding Marvell, Ms. Dai was involved in software development and project management at Canon Research Center America, Inc. Ms. Dai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. She and her husband Sehat Sutardja, CEO of Marvell, along with Pantas Sutardja, CTO of Marvell, made a significant contribution to Berkeley. The building, named Sutardja Dai Hall by the University in recognition of their support, was opened in February 2009. The Sutardja Dai Hall is home to the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) and will help create information technology solutions for many of our most pressing social, environmental and health care concerns.
