Mr. Ritz has been employed by the EDA for more than 30 years and has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2003. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of the Authority’s financial operations, reporting, budgeting and fiscal planning, procurement, risk management, ethics and compliance functions. He also serves as liaison to the EDA Board’s Audit Committee Before being named to his current position, Mr. Ritz served as EDA Controller, a position to which he was named in 1981. He joined the EDA in 1979 as the Authority’s first Staff Accountant and was promoted to Accounting Manager/Supervisor a year later. Prior to joining the EDA, Mr. Ritz held accounting and auditing positions with the McGraw-Hill Book Company and First Pennsylvania Bank, respectively. A U.S. Army veteran, he earned a B.S. in commerce and an M.B.A. in finance from Rider College and an A.S. in business management from Pierce Junior College. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1984.
