Michael D. Fleisher, Warner Music Group's (WMG) Vice Chairman, Strategy and Operations, oversees the company’s global corporate strategy and operations, and leads the transformation of its business models and operational processes. Fleisher also oversees WMG’s corporate development, and investor relations and information technology departments. Fleisher joined WMG in 2005 as its Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, where he was responsible for the company’s worldwide financial operations and led the company to achieve its highest operating margins. Fleisher played a prominent role in taking the company public in May 2005, and established the company’s investor relations and information technology departments. Fleisher came to WMG from Gartner, Inc., the world's leading technology research company, where served as Chairman and CEO, leading the company's initial public offering and its move to the New York Stock Exchange. While at Gartner he completed more than 30 acquisitions and investments and, as head of the Gartner Events organization, developed Gartner Symposium/ITxpo into the world's premier IT strategic planning event. Fleisher's previous business experience includes working from 1990 to 1993 as an associate at Bain Capital, a venture capital and buy-out firm. He was a consultant at Bain & Company, a strategy-consulting firm, from 1987 to 1990. Fleisher holds a bachelors degree in economics from the Wharton School of Business.
