Suresh Sundaresan is Head of Research at Capula and was on leave from Columbia University where he spent 27 years at the Economics and Finance faculty, Columbia University, most recently as Chase Manhattan Bank Professor of Economics and Finance and Chairman of the Finance subdivision. He has published in the areas of Treasury auctions, bidding, default risk, term structure of interest rates, pension asset allocation, swaps, options, forwards, futures, fixed-income securities markets and risk management. He has also consulted for Morgan Stanley Asset Management, was Senior Strategist at Lehman Brothers and conducted training programs for Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and CSFB. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Madras, a postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Technology in Calcutta and a MS and PhD from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration at Carnegie-Mellon University.
