Alan (Al) Bernikow, the former deputy CEO of Deloitte & Touche, has died at the age of 82. Bernikow, who lived in New York City and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan. He retired from Deloitte & Touche – predecessor firm of Deloitte – in 2003 after 37 years with the Big Four accountancy and its predecessor firms. Following his retirement from Deloitte, Bernikow served on the boards of several prominent firms, including Revlon, UBS Global Asset Management, and Florida Community Bank. In 2009, he co-founded risk advisory firm K2 Integrity with Jules Kroll and Jeremy Kroll. He was a board member of K2 Integrity at the time of his passing. Bernikow graduated from Baruch College with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and was a certified public accountant.
