William N Cantrell

William N. Cantrell became President of Peoples Gas in June 1997. Peoples Gas serves more than 330,000 customers in more than 30 counties around Florida, and it serves more than 3,000 megawatts of power generation throughout Florida. Cantrell also served as President of Tampa Electric from September 2003 to October 2004. Cantrell is very active in the natural gas industry, serving on the boards of the American Gas Association (AGA), Florida Natural Gas Association (FNGA) and Southern Gas Association (SGA). He will be the president of SGA in 2009. Cantrell is a registered professional engineer in Florida and is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Florida Engineering Society. He is a member of the 1991 Leadership Tampa class and a United Way Keel Club member.
