GFQ is a New York-based independent film company run by producer Judith Zarin. Zarin’s past production credits include CHUCK AND BUCK, LOVELY AND AMAZING, GYPSY 83, SERIES 7, THE SIMIAN LINE, and THE PORNOGRAPHER: A LOVE STORY. Zarin is a co-producer on the ensemble musical ROMANCE AND CIGARETTES with John Turturro’s production company Humperdink. In addition, she has been associated on projects with Good Machine, Blow-up Pictures, Open City Films, Killer Films, and GreeneStreet Films. Currently, GFQ is developing material with writers such as Erin Cressida Wilson, Lisanne Skyler, Joby Harold, Elizabeth Egloff, and Kim Watson. Zarin is a champion of women’s rights, serving as a board member of the National Naral Pro-Choice America Foundation and a member and supporter of the Democratic National Committee Women’s Leadership Forum and Emily’s List, a political network for pro-choice Democratic women. Previous to GFQ, Zarin was a business affairs executive at United Artists. Zarin has a special interest in stories that have strong female roles and that take place in and around New York City. GFQ is located in the GreeneStreet Film Center in New York City. Zarin holds a PhD in Psychology from the Graduate Center of the New School for Social Research and a J.D. from the Benjamin Cardozo School of Law.
