Telecom unit Uninor, a joint venture with Norway's Telenor, under scanner as part of investigations into a corruption scandal over sale of telecom licences in 2008. Company denies any wrongdoing saying it complied with government guidelines. Stock has fallen lately. Unitech Chandra Foundation, family's charitable arm, works in the areas of education and health.
