Richard De Zego

Richard De Zego is Head of Commercial Real Estate for HSBC Bank USA. Commercial Real Estate includes acquisition loans, construction loans, mini-perms, long term financing for apartment houses and commercial properties nationally. Rich oversees a group that last year originated $6.5 Billion in loans. After a stint in the U. S. Air Force, Rich earned a degree from the School of Finance and Management at Fairfield University. He also holds a certificate in Mortgage Finance from NYU. He was awarded a Doctorate in Commercial Science from St. Johns University. Rich is presently on the Board of The Community Preservation Corporation and is Chairman of the Audit Committee. He is on the Board of the Institutional Owners Committee of the Real Estate Board of New York, and is a Governor of the Mortgage Bankers Association. He is a member of the Freddie Mac Advisory Board. He is the Treasurer and a member of the Board of the Columbus Citizens Foundation. He was named "Banker of the Year" by The Associated Builders and Owners of Greater N. Y., Inc., Rich has given generously of his time over the years to the Arthritis Foundation and has given his support to Catholic Charities and St. Patrick's Cathedral.
