Etienne F Davignon

Etienne F. Davignon joined our Board of Directors in September 1990. He is currently Vice Chairman of Suez-Tractebel, where he has served since 2003. In 1985, he joined Societe Generale de Belgique, a diversified financial and industrial company, where he was Chairman from 1985 to 2001 and Vice Chairman until the merger of Societe Generale de Belgique and Tractebel in 2003. Mr. Davignon served as the European Community's Commissioner for Industry and International Markets from 1977 to 1981 and as the European Community's Vice President for Research, Industry and Energy Policies from 1981 to 1984. Mr. Davignon is Chairman of Recticel, CMB and SN Air Holding and a director of Compagnie de Suez and Sofina.
