Mark Del Vecchio, director of compensation and executive programs and interim vice president of human resources at MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE:MDU), has been named vice president of human resources by the corporation, effective Oct. 1. Del Vecchio will oversee all aspects of human resources for the corporation, including employment policies and practices, compensation and benefits, and organizational development. Del Vecchio joined MDU Resources in 2003 as director of compensation and executive programs. He was named interim vice president of human resources in July. Prior to joining MDU Resources, Del Vecchio was a partner in an executive search and management consulting company and had 14 years of human resources experience in corporate settings and field office settings with several large corporations. Del Vecchio has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., a master’s degree in industrial relations from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and a juris doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. Del Vecchio and his wife, Angela, live in Bismarck and are the parents of three daughters.
