Previously, she was Chair of the Domestic Affairs’ Family Caregivers Committee, which she helped launch in 2004 and which helped create the Federation system's Family Caregivers Initiative and innovative ‘Family Caregiver Access Network’ project. Dr. Fishbein has held numerous national and local leadership positions within the Jewish community, including Chair of the Israel Task Force on JCCA’s Executive Committee; Chair of the Contemporary Jewish Life Commission on American Jewish Committee’s Executive Committee; member of the Board of Governors and Chair of the Russian Speaking Jewry Committee of the Jewish Agency; Co-Chair of the Missions Committee on the Board of UJA-Federation of New York and Chair of the Caring Commission of UJA-Federation of New York; and Co-Chair of Intergroup Relations on the JCRC Board. Dr. Fishbein practices clinical psychology and divorce mediation, and has worked as an attorney at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Dr. Fishbein holds a PhD in psychology from SUNY at Stony Brook, a JD from New York University Law School and a BA in psychology from Barnard College.
