Daniels joined Colgate-Palmolive in 2014 from NCR Corporation, where she was SVP, general counsel and corporate secretary. Prior to joining NCR in 2010, she was general counsel and corporate secretary for Barnes & Noble Inc. Previously, she spent nearly seventeen years in a variety of senior positions in the legal department at IBM. Jennifer M. Daniels was appointed as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Barnes & Noble, Inc., in 2007. Prior to joining Barnes & Noble, Inc., Ms. Daniels held senior positions in IBM’s legal department, where she served as an attorney for over 16 years, including: vice president, assistant general counsel, and chief trust and compliance officer with worldwide responsibility for IBM’s legal and regulatory compliance; vice president and assistant general counsel for litigation with worldwide responsibility for IBM’s litigation and regulatory inquiries; and vice president and general counsel for IBM Americas, where she managed a team of approximately 95 lawyers and professionals in the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. Ms. Daniels holds a bachelor’s degree in history and English from the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Harvard Law School. She resides in Connecticut with her husband and two children.
