Augustine is joining Draftfcb from Scholastic Inc., where she had served as the SVP of Human Resources and employee services since 2007, overseeing all human resource, staffing, compensation and benefits, and human resource information systems for the publishing company. Augustine’s career in human resources dates back to 1998, during which time she served as SVP, Human Resources for The New York Times Company. In this role, her responsibilities included organizational development, diversity, compensation and benefits, and employee relations. In 2000, her role within the organization expanded as she added the role of president of The New York Times Company Broadcast Group. Before she was appointed senior vice president at The Times in 1998, she was a partner with the law firm Sabin, Bermant and Gould, specializing in employment law. And before that, Augustine was a lawyer in the Times Company’s legal department. She then took on a new challenge in 2004, joining Time Warner as SVP of Talent Management. Prior to her career in human resources, Augustine worked as a lawyer specializing in employment law, labor relations and employee benefits, first at The New York Times Company and later as a partner at Sabin, Bermant and Gould LLP. She earned her JD from Rutgers University Law School.
