Ms. Susan Lynne Wagner is a Vice Chairman and Co-Chief Operating Officer at Blackrock Inc. She also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of BlackRock Advisors, LLC. Ms. Wagner has held this position since September, 2005. She serves as a Member of the firm’s Office of the Chairman, Corporate Council, corporate Risk Committee, and Leadership Committee and serves as an Ex Officio Member of the Operating Committee. Previously, Ms. Wagner was the Head of Corporate Strategy at the firm and coordinated the firm’s strategic initiatives, including BlackRock’s mergers with PNC and Merrill Lynch Investment Managers, its initial public offering, the acquisitions of HPB Management, SS RM Holdings Inc., and the fund of funds business of Quellos, and joint ventures in Japan, China, and India. She served as Managing Director of Blackrock Inc. Prior to that, Ms. Wagner was the Head of International Client business and Alternative Investments business. Before founding BlackRock in 1988, she was a Vice President of the Mortgage and Savings Institutions Group at Lehman Brothers, where she was responsible for structured finance product development and oversight of Lehman’s CMO arbitrage issuance subsidiaries. Ms. Wagner has been Vice Chairman of BlackRock, Inc. since 2006. She serves as a Vice Chairman of DSP BlackRock Investment Managers Ltd. Ms. Wagner currently serves on the Business Leadership Council of Wellesley College and the Board of Trustees of the Hackley School. She earned a B.A. degree, magna cum laude, in English and Economics from Wellesley College, and an M.B.A. degree in Finance from the University of Chicago.
