Kathryn Murdoch is co-founder of the Quadrivium Foundation, which she started with her husband, James Murdoch. Through her work at Quadrivium, Ms. Murdoch supports inclusive, solutions-based organizations that are grounded in science and economics. Ms. Murdoch has been an active trustee of the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) since 2009 and is co-chair of both the Communications and Oceans committees. She helped to successfully promote the inclusion of key language in the EU Common Fisheries Policy, and has been an advocate for ocean policy reform in a broader capacity as well, speaking and writing about solutions that reverse degradation of global fisheries and the resulting impact on health and quality of life.
