From June 2003 until August 2007, Mr. Gangwal served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Worldspan Technologies Inc., a provider of travel technology and information services to the travel and transportation industry. From 2002 to 2003, he was involved in various personal business endeavors, including private equity projects and consulting projects. From 1998 to 2001, he served as Chief Executive Officer and President of US Airways Group, Inc. and US Airways, Inc., and from 1996 to 1998, Mr. Gangwal was the President and Chief Operating Officer of US Airways Group. On August 11, 2002, US Airways Group, Inc., and its seven domestic subsidiaries, including its principal operating subsidiary, US Airways, Inc., filed voluntary petitions for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. US Airways Group, Inc., and its subsidiaries emerged from bankruptcy protection under a reorganization plan, which became effective on March 31, 2003. In 2006, he cofounded the Delhi-based budget airline IndiGo, which is now India's largest airline by passengers and fleet size. He's co-owner of IndiGo's parent company, InterGlobe Aviation. Forbes reports that Gangwal owns 37 percent of the company. In 2015, he and his wife, Shoba Gangwal, purchased a $30 million waterfront home on Indian Creek Drive in Miami Beach.
