Prior to his service in the Attorney General’s Office, he worked as counsel to the Chair of the Assembly Ways and Means Committee and counsel, executive director, and senior advisor to the New York State Democratic Committee. Mr. Hoare has served as counsel to various members of the judiciary and public and party officials in election law and campaign finance matters. His election law practice includes representation of clients in administrative proceedings before the State and County Boards of Elections and litigation in state and federal courts. Mr. Hoare is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Judge Advocate General’s Corps, United States Army Reserve. Mr. Hoare has also served as a member of Senator Hillary R. Clinton’s Academy Appointments Panel.
