Kathy Salvi was born and raised in Waukegan, Illinois, in 1959. She is a life-long Lake County resident. Kathy attended Loyola University where she received a B.A. in 1981. She graduated from Chicago-Kent Law School where she received her J.D. in 1984. She was admitted to the Illinois bar the same year. Kathy was a candidate for the Illinois 8th Congressional District in 2006. She has served on the Board of Midtown Educational Foundation (MEF) since 1993. MEF offers supplementary academic and character-enrichment programs for inner-city children in Chicago and Waukegan. Since 1965, MEF has transformed the lives of thousands of inner-city children, one by one, by teaching basic principles of good character along with academics and sports. Kathy was also a participant in the United Nations Conference on Women in Beijing, China, in 1995. She is married to former State Representative, Al Salvi, the Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate and Illinois Secretary of State. They live in Mundelein, Illinois, with their six children. Kathy specializes in all areas of personal injury law including auto accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, defective products, medical malpractice, and wrongful death.
