I lead the Committee of Public Safety and work on developing policy around the Commission on Police Practices, Park Master Plan, and an ordinance to prevent the proliferation of unsterilized firearms, also known as "Ghost Guns". I have over five years of experience in policy analysis, political campaigns, and political science, with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Security Conflicts Studies from the University of Mary Washington. Prior to this role, I was the Director of Protocol, Senior Representative, and Homeless Advisor for the City of San Diego, where I focused on air pollution control, homeless solutions, and refugee and immigration outreach. I established the City of San Diego's age-friendly action plan and created the partnership with AARP and WHO Global Network of Age-Friendly Communities. I also graduated from the RISE San Diego Urban Education and Leadership program, which empowers leaders to create positive change in urban communities. I am passionate about serving the diverse and dynamic communities of San Diego and advancing social justice and equity.
