Tracy Kasper, the president of the National Association of Realtors, on Monday January 8 2024 said she was resigning after a blackmail threat. Kasper said she had notified the group’s leadership team “that she recently received a threat to disclose a past personal, non-financial matter unless she compromised her position at NAR.” President-elect Kevin Sears will immediately step into the post at the group. Kasper is the broker-owner of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Silverhawk Realty in Boise Valley, Idaho. and the majority owner of two other real estate companies in the state, according to her NAR bio. A grandmother of six, she has served on NAR’s board since 2016.
