Ferguson founded Scarlett Investments in 2013 to invest in and advise middle market businesses that are primarily focused on consumer products. She is currently CFO of Cleveland Avenue LLC, a privately-held venture capital firm. Previously she was CFO of the Chicago Board of Education, responsible for managing all aspects of the organization's financial operations. Earlier she served as SVP and CFO of the Folgers Coffee Co. Prior to joining Merisant Worldwide, Inc. in 2007 as EVP and CFO, Ms. Ferguson was chief financial officer of Sara Lee Foodservice, a division of Sara Lee Corporation. She had previously served in a number of leadership positions at Sara Lee Corporation including senior vice president of strategy and corporate development as well as treasurer. Earlier, she held treasury management positions at Fort James Corporation and Eaton Corporation, and also served in various financial positions at Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae), the First National Bank of Chicago and IBM. Ms. Ferguson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Yale University and a Master of Management degree with concentrations in finance and managerial economics from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. She is a member of the board of directors of Integrys Energy Group and also serves on the non-profit board of Leadership Greater Chicago and is active on the Kellogg School Alumni Advisory Board.
