Bob Odenkirk is an American actor and filmmaker best known for playing Saul Goodman in both “Breaking Bad” (2008-2013) and the spinoff “Better Call Saul” (2015-2022). He got his start as a writer on “Saturday Night Live” in 1987, working alongside Adam Sandler, David Spade, Chris Farley and Chris Rock. In 1991, Odenkirk decided to leave “SNL” to pursue acting more seriously. He mainly stayed in the comedy space, scoring minor roles in films and series like “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Wayne’s World 2" and “The Cable Guy.” In 1995, Odenkirk created his own show, “Mr. Show,” alongside David Cross. Running for four seasons, the series helped to elevate Odenkirk into the mainstream.
