Jim Ward

Jim Ward is a Venture Partner and is on the board of directors of Gowalla, an Alsop Louie Partners portfolio company. Jim is the former president of LucasArts, the videogame division of LucasFilm Ltd, where he was also the senior vice president of marketing, distribution and online. Before he joined LucasFilm in 1997, he spent his career in advertising where he worked closely with Apple Computer, Microsoft and then Nike over a period of 15 years. He is running for Congress in the 5th Congressional District in Scottsdale, Arizona. Ward has been serving as interim president and CEO of the nonprofit Phoenix Symphony since January 2011, and was named president in February 2012. A native of Rockford, Ill., Ward was a venture partner with San Francisco-based Alsop Louie Partners and focused on early stage cloud technology startups. He received his Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale.
