Wayne (b. 1959) is a Republican politician and CPA from Utah. He served as a State Senator (2006-18) for Salt Lake County's 9th district, and as Senate President (2013-19).
Niederhauser, a Utah State University alumnus, is a certified public accountant and adjunct professor at Westminster College. He owns a real estate development company and is affiliated with ALEC, Home Builders Association, and charitable organizations. Niederhauser has received awards and served on various boards. He was elected Senate President in 2012 and served on committees in 2016. He and his wife Melissa have five children and are members of the LDS Church.
