Gail Curley attended the United States Military Academy, University of Illinois College of Law, and The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School. Army career 1991-2021, rank Colonel: joined the Signal Corps and led a large platoon in Europe when women were not allowed to serve in certain jobs. Served as a staff judge advocate (attorney) in US Army. Became Marshal of US Supreme Court 6/21/21, succeeding Pamela Talkin who was 1st female Marshal. She manages @ 260 employees, including the Supreme Court Police Force. Following leak of draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization in May 2022, Chief Justice John Roberts directed Curley to conduct an investigation "into the source of the leak." 1/19/23 Curley released official report on Dobbs leak.
