On November 7, 2006, Alexi Giannoulias was elected State Treasurer of Illinois. Alexi graduated cum laude from Boston University with a degree in economics and earned a law degree from Tulane University's School of Law. He formerly was Vice-President of Broadway Bank, a community bank founded by his late father.
