John Fritchey is the President of F4 Consulting Ltd., providing governmental relations, issue advocacy and strategic communications services at the local and statewide level for clients ranging from publicly-traded companies to trade associations and industry sectors. John's in-depth knowledge of both the legislative process and its participants, as well as nearly two decades as an elected official, provide him with a unique and specialized set of skills to identify, strategize and accomplish client goals. Whether the need is for issue formulation, crafting the appropriate message, working with relevant stakeholders, or legislative advocacy, John's skills and experience turn client needs into results. Following his graduation from Northwestern University School of Law, John started his legal career as an Illinois Assistant Attorney General. In 1996, at the age of 32, John was first elected as State Representative in the Illinois General Assembly. He served 14 years in the Illinois Legislature, 8 of which as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, receiving numerous awards and recognitions for his work. John and his work have been covered in media outlets ranging from the Economist to Al Jazeera to the New York Times. John also previously served as the elected Democratic Committeeman for Chicago's 32nd Ward. John has been a guest on national news programs numerous times in order to share his insights and comments on a variety of issues, including during his tenure on the Special Committee that oversaw impeachment proceedings against former Governor Rod Blagojevich. John left the state legislature after being elected as a Cook County Commissioner, a position he currently holds, where he serves as the Chairman of the Technology Committee.
