Clements received his Juris Doctorate from the University of New Mexico School of Law. He currently teaches Legal Environment of Business, Consumer Protection and Employment Law. His teaching style draws heavily from his experience as a seasoned trial attorney, where he's tried over 120 cases to a jury and judge. His trial experience ranges from municipal defense in civil litigation, to prosecution of 1st-degree murder and other high-profile felony cases. When Professor Clements is not serving the needs of his students, he maintains his ties to the legal profession as an of-counsel attorney with southern New Mexico's largest civil litigation firm. There he focuses on commercial law, municipal and county defense, and employment law. His academic and research interests include election integrity, the collateral source rule, liquor license reform, SLAPP lawsuits, and the legal aspects of propaganda in the entertainment industry.
