Mark Savoff joined Entergy in December 2003 as executive vice president of Entergy operations. Savoff serves as a member of the office of the chief executive and officer of numerous Entergy subsidiaries. Prior to joining Entergy, Savoff was vice president and corporate officer at GE Power Systems, Nuclear Energy, San Jose, Calif. During his tenure with GE Nuclear, Savoff led the implementation of a successful joint venture with Hitachi and Toshiba that increased fuel sales 46 percent. He drove the business to attain consistent revenues of $1 billion and increased profitability 18 percent over a three-year period by focusing on key operating metrics, customer satisfaction and quality through six sigma methodology. A graduate of the University of Florida, Savoff holds a bachelor of science degree in nuclear engineering. He is on the board of directors of Construction Navigator, the Electric Power Research Institute and the Southeastern Electric Exchange. He is also a member of the advisory counsel for the University of Florida School of Nuclear Engineering and the dean’s advisory board for the College of Engineering. He previously served as a member of the boards of the Nuclear Energy Institute, Reuter-Stokes and Global Nuclear Fuel. Savoff is greenbelt certified in Six Sigma.
