Peter Lease is Ernst & Young’s (EY) Talent Leader for the US-East Region and leads human resource functions by overseeing all aspects of talent management for staff through partners. Peter has been with EY for more than 35 years, and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ernst & Young Foundation. Peter is also a senior client service partner at EY serving the health care industry. He was EY’s Northeast Health Care Area Industry Leader from 2001 to 2011 and served a variety of clients, including academic medical centers, teaching hospitals, community-based hospitals, and other companies. He also undertook the due diligence and merger/affiliation analyses for major New York City medical centers. Prior to specializing in health care, Peter worked with clients in the venture capital, broadcast media, commodities trading and real estate sectors. Peter has had National training and policy responsibilities for EY relative to Federal compliance auditing and reporting issues. Peter holds a BS, economics, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA, finance, from The Graduate School of Business at Columbia University. Peter was the former Chair of the Board of Directors for New York’s Bailey House, which provides housing and services to people with or at risk of HIV/AIDS.
