Ryan Rockefeller has spent the last decade as a serial entrepreneur, inventor, investor and artist. For the past four years, Ryan has served as Co-Founder and CEO of Liyo, a social music streaming platform that lets users stream music and video from popular services live with friends and celebrities. He recently sold the company to Muzik Connect, a smart headphone maker, and is now working with them while simultaneously doing the Executive MBA Program at Columbia Business School. Ryan has also been an avid angel investor and is President of R2 Ventures, an early-stage venture fund he started with his brother. Prior to his work with startups, Ryan pursued music professionally, performing in venues around NYC in a band and as a solo artist. He has also been an active student of sculpture and painting. In the nonprofit sector, he sits on the Board and Executive Committee of Art21, a Peabody Award-winning organization dedicated to producing documentary of the world’s most esteemed artists. Ryan holds a B.A. in Religion and a certificate in Urban Planning from Princeton University.
