Ari Ben-Menashe

He’s a former employee of the Israeli government who first garnered media attention in 1989, when he was arrested in the United States and charged with attempting to sell three military aircraft to Iran, in contravention of the U.S. Arms Export Control Act. He spent almost a year in jail in New York. He went to trial and was acquitted; a jury accepted his defence, that he was acting on orders from his superiors in Israel.
