Laurel J Richie

Richie served as president of the Women's National Basketball Association LLC from 2011 to 2015. During her tenure, she led the league's business, operations, and marketing initiatives, and became the first African American to run a major US professional sports league. Previously, she was CMO of Girl Scouts of the United States of America, and held various positions at Ogilvy & Mather, including senior patner and executive group director. She was named one of the 25 Most Influential Women in Business by The Network Journal, awarded Ebony magazine's Outstanding Women in Marketing and Communications Award, and named to Ebony's Power 100 List.
