Daniel K Reed

Dan Reed is the Managing Director of American Family Ventures, the direct venture capital arm of American Family Insurance. American Family Ventures invests in early stage companies focused on insurance, connectivity, and analytics. Dan has worked as a strategy consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and in various strategic roles at American Family. He has experience as a principal in two start-up companies. Additionally, his work history includes hospital administration at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and a career as a professional baseball player with the Baltimore Orioles. Dan holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in Strategic Management from the University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree from Stanford University.
