Tucker joined CSC in April 1996 as vice president, Business Development, and assisted with the acquisition program and other strategic planning duties. Among other projects, he led CSC's acquisition last March of the Pinnacle Group, a leading provider of enterprise-wide software and solutions with $24 million in annual revenue and a staff of 265 professionals. From 1991 to 1996, Tucker served as president and chief executive officer of Knight-Ridder Financial, a $200 million real-time electronic financial market information company. He joined Knight-Ridder in 1983 as vice president of technology and subsequently served in several senior executive positions before being named president and chief executive officer of the financial information division. Tucker holds bachelor's, master's and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, where he served as an associate professor, and an executive M.B.A. degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
