As a senior associate in Hogen Lovells' Appellate group, Katie Wellington has experience litigating across a wide range of areas, including environmental law, technology, life sciences, international trade, and automotive. She has briefed numerous appeals and dispositive motions in federal and state court, and she serves as a trusted advisor on issue preservation, appeal strategy, and appellate practice. Before joining Hogan Lovells, Katie clerked for Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., of the U.S. Supreme Court and Judge Brett Kavanaugh of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. While in law school, Katie served as Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law and Technology, a board member of the Women's Law Association, and a student fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center for Health Law Policy, Biotechnology, and Bioethics. She also participated in the Harvard Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. Katie received the Sears Prize at Harvard Law School, which is awarded to the top two students in the 1L class.
